Positivity Blogger Award

Welcome back to another Morning Monday!

For me, January means holidays, summer and chill out time. For many of you, January is a time of cold weather, back to school/work and ordinary life-stuff.

Today I thought it would be nice to spin (hopefully) a little bit of happiness to your Monday, and a great way to do that is… party! It’s a celebration! A few weeks ago I was nominated for my first blogger award! Exciting times, I know!

So to start off, I’d like to thank the spectacular Saritzy! Thank you so much for nominating me! You should check her blog out, she makes amazing content!

Rules:

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.

2. Display the award photo and rules in your post.

3. Share the reason behind the award.

4. Answer the set of eight questions.

5. Nominate the bloggers whose blogs you love!!

The Positivity Blogger Award was started by Maggie @ Dreaming of Guatemala to encourage and uplift other bloggers. Our journeys as online writers can be an arduous one, so remembering why we started, as well as going back to our roots as a blogger, is a beautiful way to stay inspired and motivated to keep on writing. Here’s to the world of bloggers!

The Questions:

Why did you start your blog?

I started Persona Pieces for a number of reasons. I was inspired by several of my close friends having blogs, my Creative Writing elective at school was studying blogs at the particular time I started and I was looking for a way to express myself in writing that had a purpose – to inspire both myself and others.

Are you still blogging for that same reason?

I think so. In all honesty, I’ve only had this blog for a couple of months so there hasn’t been an awful lot of time to change any ideals dramatically.

What is your favourite thing about your blog?

My favourite thing about my blog is also kind of my least favourite thing. Writing posts as different personas can be fun but also challenging. It’s an interesting ordeal to try and capture different aspects of life while still making them true to oneself.

Is your blog your favourite blog? (Because it should be!)

Not really… I think it needs a little more work put into it to make it actually good. I’m still in the ‘experimental phase’ of blogging where I’m figuring everything out.

What posts of yours are the happiest with?

The posts I’m happiest with would be 77 Pages: How I Kept a Journal5 Fun Christmas Facts and 5 MORE Fun Christmas Facts, as I think I put the most effort and enjoyment into writing these.

What is your favourite kind of post to write?

I like to write posts that have the potential to be found helpful. A common writing tip is ‘write what you know’, and so writing about what I love and am passionate about is one of the better ways I know to help people.

What is something you could do to improve your blog?

I want to improve in the area of writing what I want to read. Hopefully, I can achieve that! It can be so easy to want to keep to a certain schedule which can really drain a lot of motivation for creativity, which is also something I want to work on.

Are you happy with your blog?

Yes! Perfection is overrated, so this beautiful mess of mine is just right for me.

Nominees:

I don’t expect any of you to respond (as many on this list have already been nominated), it’s just to let you know I appreciate what you’re doing!
